BORJA CHAVARRI
B. is for BORJA
A Spanish Born, Chilean grown, English Living mess of what people may or may not classify as a man (jury still out on that one). Co-Founder of B.A.S.H. Media, a full blown nerd passionate about comics, animation, books, history, Halloween, wold cultures, and food, although he ain’t good at non of them. He aims to one day become a successful comic and book author.
Borja is B.A.S.H.’s resident Manga, Myths. Books, and Animation Lead Researcher. An obsessive fan of One Piece, Borja will talk you to death about the symbolism behind a character using a blue dress instead of a red one and how could it be tied to some long forgotten legend from the author’s homeland, which could or could not be true.
When Borja is not being an obsessive mess he is a pretty chill guy who plays Smash Bros, writes Detective Fantasy Novels and is the lead and founder of B.A.S.H.’s Indie Creators Club, hosted every Friday at the Meltdown Bar in North London.
ALEX TAYLOR
A. is for ALEX
Originally from Aberdeen, Scotland and currently living in London. Co-founder of B.A.S.H. Media. Major interests include film and TV, animation of all styles, video games, comics and manga, card games and collecting geeky paraphernalia.
For a sense of taste, some favourite series include Doctor Who, Gerry Anderson shows, Mad Max, Metroid, Pikmin, Metal Gear, Ratchet & Clank, Advance Wars, Gurren Lagann (or anything by Studio Trigger), Lupin III, Black Lagoon, Trigun, One Piece, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, and many Marvel and DC comics including Batman, Daredevil and Moon Knight. Also a big fan of many classic comedies including anything by Mel Brooks and Monty Python, 30 Rock, Black Books, Community, Frasier and especially The Simpsons and Futurama.
Primarily working as a software developer but aspiring to other things in the meantime. Currently writing and drawing an independent comic, and learning game development as a hobby (stay tuned on both fronts) whilst experimenting with other ventures.
Frequenter of the B.A.S.H. Indie Creators Club at Meltdown Bar, always up for a chat about a good series or open to discussing story ideas.
